1.Acceptance of terms
By accessing this website, making a donation, or creating a donor account, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
2.Donations
All donations to Vidya — The Living School are voluntary and are used to further our charitable mission of providing free education, nutrition, healthcare and opportunity to children from underprivileged backgrounds.
- Donations are made in Indian Rupees (INR).
- You confirm that the funds used are from lawful sources and that you are authorised to use the chosen payment method.
- We reserve the right to allocate funds to the area of greatest need where a specific programme is fully funded.
3.Recurring donations
When you choose a monthly, quarterly or annual recurring donation, you authorise us (and our payment partner) to automatically collect the agreed amount on each billing cycle until you cancel.
- You may pause, modify or cancel any recurring plan at any time from your donor dashboard.
- Cancellation stops future charges; it does not refund donations already collected.
- You will receive a receipt for every successful recurring charge.
4.Payments & security
Payments are processed through PCI-DSS-compliant, encrypted payment gateways. We do not store your full card or bank details on our servers. By donating, you agree to the terms of the applicable payment processor.
5.Receipts & 80G tax benefit
An official 80G receipt is generated for every successful donation and emailed to your registered address; it is also available to download from your donor account. Tax deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961 is subject to prevailing law. To claim it correctly, ensure your PAN is provided at the time of donation.
6.Refunds & cancellations
Donations are, by nature, non-refundable. However, if a donation was made in error, was a duplicate, or was an unauthorised transaction, please contact us within 7 days at donatevidyalivingschool@gmail.com. Genuine cases will be reviewed and, where appropriate, refunded to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Any 80G receipt issued for a refunded donation will be cancelled.
7.Donor accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Please provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
8.Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the platform, attempt to gain unauthorised access, disrupt its operation, or use it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.
9.Limitation of liability
The platform is provided on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by law, Vidya — The Living School shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of this website. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Assam, India.
